Pink Shirt Day originated in 2007 by two grade 12 teens from Nova Scotia (David Shepherd and Travis Price) who noticed a 9th grader being bullied for wearing a pink shirt on his first day of school.

David and Travis took action and bought 50 pink shirts to distribute to students to start the “Sea of Pink” campaign.

The powerful movement did not go unnoticed, and it has morphed into the phenomenon it is today.

Canstar Restorations is taking a stand and supporting David and Travis’ movement. #PinkItForward

“If you can get more people against them… to show that we’re not going to put up with it and support each other, then they’re not as big as a group as they think are” – David Shepherd
